BTS's Jimin makes history by reaching the number one spot on the Billboard Hot 100 with his debut solo album "FACE" and its title track "Like Crazy," becoming the first Korean solo artist to top the chart.

Jimin's Record-Breaking Solo Debut "FACE"

BTS member Jimin has made history by reaching the number one spot on the US Billboard Hot 100 with his first solo album, ""FACE,"" and its title track ""Like Crazy."" He became the first Korean solo artist to achieve this feat and the first K-pop artist to have both solo and group songs top the Hot 100 chart.

 ""FACE"" is Jimin's first solo work in his 10-year career, showcasing his growth and evolution as an artist. The title track ""Like Crazy"" was inspired by the romantic film ""Like Crazy"" (2018), and Jimin contributed to the lyrics and composition of the song. It is a synth-pop genre piece with strong synth and drum sounds, highlighting Jimin's soulful voice as he sings about longing to stay in a dream with the person he loves, even though he is in agony and trapped in a dazzling light. 

 ""Like Crazy"" received worldwide attention immediately upon its release, and it sold 254,000 units of single CD sales and had 10 million streams and 64,000 radio listeners. Jimin also released various versions of the song, including an English version, a deep house remix version, and a UK garage remix version, which helped to increase sales. 

 His success with solo work has not been limited to the US market. Major music charts in the UK, Japan, and Germany were also topped, showcasing global popularity. He entered the UK Official Singles Chart at number eight, the highest ranking for any BTS member, and reached number two on the Japanese Oricon Digital Single Chart. The highest ranking among Korean solo artists on the German Official Singles Chart at number nine was also achieved.
